DUGALD, MANITOBA — October 18, 2023 — Thom Brokerage and Consulting, a versatile company dedicated to empowering “First Nations communities across Canada through tailored infrastructure development, trades support, innovative programs, and more”, is pleased to announce a generous donation of $500 to the ÉDS Dragons esports team at École Dugald School. This contribution will go toward the purchase of jerseys for the team.
Esports, a competitive and organized form of video gaming, has been gaining immense popularity worldwide, including here in Dugald. But this donation resonates personally for Brenden Thom. "As the President of Thom Brokerage and Consulting, and more importantly, a proud uncle to a dedicated ÉDS Dragons esport competitor, I wholeheartedly believe in the potential and passion of these young athletes. It's a privilege to support the esports program with a $500 donation, knowing that I'm not only investing in the future of esports but also in the dreams and aspirations of my nephew and his teammates. The ÉDS Dragons are now past the half-way mark of their fundraising goal and are looking forward to continuing their fundraising efforts! This is one more step leading them closer to sporting their new jerseys for their Provincial Finals tournament. The tournament will be hosted by the ÉDS Dragons on March 9, 2024.

About ÉDS Dragons:
Established in 2020, the ÉDS Dragons esport team is for Grade 6-8 students who are interested in gaming at a more competitive level through their school. They play in seasons and tournaments against other schools across the province and the country while learning about digital citizenship, leadership, communication, and so much more.
