After a ruthless single-elimination best-of-3 Wildcard Tournament that pitted all the non-playoff teams against each other for one more chance at clinching a spot on the main stage during the March 9th playoffs hosted by ÉDS, the Gold Dragons "got the job done" and clinched one of the final playoff spots available. Unfortunately it came at a cost as the Blue and Magenta Dragons both put up a valiant effort but fell just shy of punching their own tickets to playoffs.
And with that, the five remaining teams from Dugald are poised to start their playoff preparation. The seeds are set, the match-ups are drawn, and the ÉDS Dragons are prepared to enter the Round Robin stage of the tournament.
March 9th will be an absolutely amazing show, with 32 teams competing across two divisions trying to bring the trophy back to their school. This is the event that our new gymnasium has been waiting for, and teams will be bringing their all to it. We are looking forward to hosting the best the province has to offer, and hope to walk away with the trophy to show for it! Good luck to everyone.
