Brawlhalla Provincial Finals Coming to École Dugald School
DUGALD, MB – On March 22nd, the Manitoba School Esports Association (MSEA) along with Sunrise School Division will be hosting the 2025 Middle Years Brawlhalla Scholastic Provincial Finals esports tournament. École Dugald School will be transformed into the ultimate esports arena as we welcome teams from across the province for the highly anticipated Brawlhalla Provincial Finals. The school's gymnasium will be converted into a grand stage, where 48 of the top middle years teams will compete for glory in an action-packed gaming experience. In addition to the Brawlhalla tournament, students will also be competing in 2v2 Super Smash Brothers (SSBU).
The event will also feature fundraising opportunities in partnership with Extra Life Winnipeg, supporting the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. Attendees can take part in a Manitoba Moose Ticket Raffle and even challenge an Extra Life gamer in SSBU. Local professional esport organization, Lotus 8 Esports, will be on site educating students about healthy gaming and lifestyle habits as well as engaging with students in one of their primary competition titles, Rocket League. Other opportunities for students to experience casual gaming will be happening throughout the event including titles already mentioned, Minecraft, Chess, and others.
Huge thanks to Sunrise School Division and École Dugald School for hosting the event, as well as to Alienware and Intel Gaming for powering the event with their Alienware R16 desktops, and to Epson Canada for supporting the event with top-of-the-line projection to help our students tell their story. This exciting event promises to bring together the community, celebrate esports, and support a great cause as we raise money for the Children’s Hospital.
Doors open to the event at 9:15am and is scheduled to end by 4:00pm.
